Who we are
Christian and Carl Burkhardt opened their first padel club in 2023. It has been padel full time ever since.
Three clubs founded so far. Along the way we learned what makes a club work in the long run, and how much it matters to plan and build carefully from the very start.
Everything goes into Schiltacker. Today we concentrate on Point Padel Schiltacker. We own the property, so we can keep building it out instead of managing somebody else's lease. It doubles as our test bench: every product we sell runs there first, in daily club operation, before we offer it to anyone else.
And the software side. Manuel Josephson joined us after his own startup came to an end. He holds a master's in mechanical engineering from ETH Zurich and builds everything on the software side: the Playtomic connection, the light automation and the club display.
What we supply

Courts
Restored second-hand courts from leading manufacturers, double and single. We handle research, transport, refurbishment and the complete installation on site. Rental is possible for a season or an event.

Light
A continuous LED strip running right around the court instead of a few spotlights. Even light on the whole surface, no glare when you look up for a lob, and a fraction of the energy of the old floodlights.

Automation
The lighting talks to your Playtomic booking system. Light comes on a few minutes before the booking starts, so nobody walks onto a dark court, and switches off after a grace period once play ends, long enough that a match running over never finishes in the dark. Every timing is yours to set, and the bar can always override by hand.

Display
A screen at the entrance showing who plays on which court and what is free right now, pulled live from Playtomic. The lower half is advertising space you can rent out to local sponsors. The screen pays for itself.
